Discussing Anti-Protest Bills with OWA & OhioRCRC
Friday Jun 11, 2021
Friday Jun 11, 2021
NARAL's The Morning After is a production of NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio.
This week, our Deputy Director Jaime Miracle sat down with Jasmine Henderson, Director of Policy & Social Impact with the Ohio Women's Alliance, and Rev. Terry Williams, Faith Organizer for the Ohio Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice.
The trio discussed terrible legislation pending in the Ohio Statehouse to punish people for expressing their first amendment rights through protest. This legislation is nothing more than a transparent attempt to stifle Ohioans’ voices and make it harder for Ohioans to organize protests that Republicans don’t agree with.

Parenting During a Pandemic: Housing and Rental Assistance

Thursday May 20, 2021
NARAL's The Morning After is a production of NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio.
The American Rescue Plan, passed by Congress and signed by President Biden in March, will deliver immediate and effective relief for parents and families hit hard by the pandemic, address racial and gender disparities in health and economic outcomes that have been exacerbated throughout the crisis, and make bold progress that puts us on a path to recovery. But what does that relief look like? What can parents and caregivers expect from the American Rescue Plan?
Join NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio and the Women’s Public Policy Network as we partner to host a series of Facebook Live conversations to examine the different components of the American Rescue Plan and what is means for parents. This series will be structured as informative and action-oriented conversations featuring advocates, partner organizations, and elected officials.

NARAL's The Morning After is a production of NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio.
On this week's episode, Kelley, Ariana, and Rhyannon discuss the history of abortion, from the 1920s until present day.
A new study from OPEN has found that one in 10 Ohio women surveyed thought abortion was prohibited because of confusion during the debate over abortion ban bills. The percentage with that belief increased from 5% to 16% during the study period, corresponding to sustained activity to limit abortions from fall of 2018 through summer of 2019.
